Weekly Rune and Moon for 25–31 August 2019

It’s time again to look at the coming week’s rune and moon influences. As always, the spread reads from left to right and I’ve added a geomancy rune as the significator for the week.

Significator

Fortuna Major is the significator for the coming week signaling greater fortune or gain of some kind. A rune of Elemental Fire, the Su, and Leo, Fortuna Major may indicate monetary wealth or financial security, but it may signal something else entirely. Let’s take a look at each day and see how Fortuna Major applies.

Sunday, 25 August

Rune: Gebo (7)
Numerology: 7
Human Design/I Ching Moon: Gate 45 Line 6 Reconsideration (understanding of the outsider) until 2:06 PM PDT when it transits into Gate 15 Line 2 Influence (right behavior leading to standards that endure)
Astro Moon/House: chatty and social Gemini until 2:06 PM PDT when the Moon transits into compassionate and intuitive Cancer (emotions may be in flux).

Balance is the underlying message here with Sunday’s numerology of seven aligning with the numerology of Gebo. Seven itself describes an inner balance between the shadow side of self and Spirit while Gebo describes balanced energy exchange with others. Visually, however, we have a cross with seven on the vertical axis or plane and Gebo falling on the horizontal plane. It will be interesting to see how we balance both over the course of the day given the influence of Reconsideration early in the day.

This I Ching influence, active during the first half of the day, from the Human Design chart describes the effective use of an outlier or outsider in creating a harmonious or successful outcome. As the Moon moves into a new Gate Influence in the afternoon, right behavior reinforced by shared values provides the sense of greater fortune described by Fortuna Major.

Monday, 26 August

Another synchronous interaction exists again today between the numerology of the day and the rune Wunjo. Harmony and fellowship are described by both the eight and Wunjo with the additional expression of joy by Wunjo, as profound an expression of greater fortune as is the eight’s awareness of unity consciousness.

We easily move around obstacles over the course of the day with a single-minded focus, assisting us should our emotions become erratic. Although people born under the sign of Cancer are known for compassion toward others, when the Moon is in Cancer, we may retreat when under stress or if life becomes too complicated, focusing our compassion inward if necessary.

Tuesday, 27 August

Rune: Isa (11)
Numerology: 9
Human Design/I Ching Moon: Gate 56 Line 3 Alienation (arrogance that leads to isolation, controlling); Gate 56 Line 4 Expediency at 4:54 PM PDT (superficiality that fosters self-protection)
Astro Moon: Cancer until it moves into Leo at 4:54 PM PDT (the center of attention, emotions easily expressed)

A nine numerology indicates completion; however, Isa’s offering of an eleven energy suggests alignment in a Higher truth. Today, we may experience a revelation of a profound truth that may have previously eluded us.

The Moon transits during the day so there will be two influences to consider regarding both Human Design and astrological influences. Alienation followed by Expediency describes arrogance that seeks to control leading to isolation followed by a level of superficiality that conceals one’s true nature.

The Moon moving from compassionate and intuitive Cancer to dynamic Leo in the latter part of the afternoon may also represent the Expediency described above if the Leo influence results in attention-seeking behavior.

Perhaps this is the profound revelation of which Isa speaks with its Master Number energy, that in our exuberant attempt to lead, we may come across as arrogant and unable to include or respect the views of others. A gain to be sure and expressing the will of the significator as well.

Wednesday, 28 August

Destruction prior to change as its meaning, Hagalaz, with its energy of completion, allows us to begin anew, also expressing the one numerology of the day and new beginnings.

The Leo Moon blends well with the current transiting Human Design Gate/Line reinforcing leadership skills that respect democratic self-expression.

Today’s energies may provide the opportunity to build on newly found awareness from Tuesday’s Master Number influence as we transition from arrogance to respecting the majority. Hagalaz upsets the apple cart, providing the right level of disruption to allow for a new perspective to take hold.

Thursday, 29 August

Although we may still feel some lost focus in the late afternoon, it may be that we’re still feeling Hagalaz’s disruptive effect from yesterday. Align in Source Presence and allow today’s eleven energy to bring much-needed inner alignment and self-illumination.

Eihwaz provides both an as above so below flow and structure to the day which, if we allow Spirit to inform our process, should carry us through until Virgo’s influence fosters a more structured or grounded experience.

Friday, 30 August

Partnership issues may arise on the day of Venus with the appearance of Ehwaz, the nineteenth rune of the Elder Futhark, and its focus on harmony and shared purpose. The mind, body, Spirit alignment necessary for harmonious interaction with others energized by today’s three numerology is also reinforced by the one numerology of Ehwaz.

A positive outcome is promised by collective values shared with others with Virgo’s influence of order creating a stable foundation for the new relationship(s) to thrive, another type of gain promised by Fortuna Major.

Saturday, 31 August

Rune: Mannaz (20); Numerology: 4; Human Design/I Ching Moon: Gate 64 Line 4 Conviction at 4:08 PM PDT (inner knowing that confusion will lead to clarity); Astro Moon: Libra at 4:08 PM PDT (partnership, harmony with others, guard against self-doubt)

We continue our focus on harmony with others today with the presence of Mannaz, a two energy describing balance and integration within and without. A numerology of four today establishes a harmonious foundation or focus.

Through Conviction we know that any challenges experienced along our new path will be overcome with lessons learned reinforcing and sustaining our progress and success. The Moon in Libra enhances this expression of harmony and shared purpose.

Lastly…

It appears that our significator provides the underlying energy for success this week. But instead of greater fortune that is financial in nature, what the week’s influences are suggesting is that our greatest fortune is found in our relationships and shared purpose with others.

And there is no greater fortune than that.
