Dandelion, Taraxacum officinale

Also known as piss-a-beds, Jupiter rules Dandelion and Sagittarius is its astrological sign. Its element is Air, its direction is East, its day is Thursday, and its magickal power is To Know. Its energetic effect is projective, masculine, and active. Associated Deities are Hecate, Aphrodite (goddesses), Sachiel (angel), and Bethor (Olympic Spirit).

Use in Rituals, Spells, and Magickal Workings

The entire plant (leaves, stems, flowers, and roots) from the Dandelion plant can be used in magickal workings, fresh or dried. Dandelion is used in magickal workings for prosperity, leadership, and wealth. Dandelion is also used to increase and preserve justice and understanding. It is also useful in workings for cleansing, purification, healing, and rebirth.

Magickal Methodologies

Fresh or dried Dandelion leaves can be used whole or crushed on the altar or workspace during magickal workings. The dried root can be used as well.

Dried and crushed Dandelion can be added to mojo or charm bags and then carried with you to influence a desired outcome.
