Exploring Tarot: 28 July to 3 August 2024
Daughter of the Lord of Truth. Lady Justice sits on a chair between two pillars connected by a veil. She wears a golden crown with a cube in its center, a red dress with a golden cape, while holding a sword upright in her right hand and a scale in her left. Card 11 from the Major Arcana (Card 8 in Crowley’s Thoth Tarot), Justice describes a higher truth that invokes balanced reason, equilibrium, decisions, legal issues, and, of course, divine justice. A card of Libra, balance is represented throughout the card with both pillars, the upright sword, and the pans of the scale in balance with each other. As the 11th card, Justice also invokes the Master number 11 which describes awakening, illumination, and enlightenment.
When this card appears upright in a reading, it’s time to consider whether or not you’re approaching a situation in balance and/or with justice. Or it could indicate a positive outcome in a legal situation. Reversed, Justice may indicate issues with a legal problem or judging a situation or individual unfairly.
